Spring and Summer flowering bulbs, ornamental grasses, roses, trees and other plants

Violets Spring and Summer flowering bulbs, ornamental grasses, perennials, roses, seeds, shrubs, trees, vines and other plants can be found below. I'm definitely not a gardening expert but I'll share with you a little that I've learned. Daffodils and tulips are what's considered Spring flowering bulbs, which means they're planted in the Fall and flower the following year in Spring. Real hardy varieties will do so year after year, but not all. Dahlias and lilies are examples of Summer flowering bulbs, which are planted in the Spring. In warmer climates they'll flower the following year, but in colder climates you must dig them up, store them indoors for the winter then replant them in the Spring.

Some of the plants we have in our garden are allium, several varieties of agastache, angelonia, astilbe, balloon flowers, bee balm, butterfly bushes, clematis, cleome, coneflowers, crocus, daffodils, dianthus, fuchsia, geranium, guara, honeysuckle, heuchera, hydrangeas, impatiens, lavender, lily of the valley, lobelia, morning glory, penstemon, phlox, rose bushes, Russian sage, several varieties of salvia, scabiosa, tulips, verberna, vinca, zinnia and a few others. Many of the flowers we have are grown just to attract butterflies and hummingbirds since we love watching them. If you want to attract butterflies or hummingbirds they love our agastache, bee balm, butterfly bush, cardinal climber, phlox, porterweed, black and blue salvia, Wendy's wish salvia and other slvias.

Annuals grow for one growing season only and perennials will return for many seasons. A favorite perennial we grow is dianthus (some dianthus only grow for one year but ours return each year)You definitely don't need a green thumb to grow them. They'll be in our window box covered with snow but come Spring their little heads pop up. They really are a very easy flower to grow. We also have azaleas, some ornamental grasses, a beautiful lavender rhododendron, a dogwood tree and some other garden plants.
