Hardy, deciduous shrubloosely double, pale pink flowers and glossy, medium green foliage; flowers late spring through fallThe Noisette Rose, developed in Charleston, South Carolina by John Champneys before 1811, is the first class of rose hybrids to originate in America. It occurred from a cross between the fragrant English Musk Rose (Rosa moschata) and the ever-blooming 'Old Blush' China Rose (R. chinensis). "Hollywood Pink Cluster" is a study name given to an unidentified Noisette Rose found in the historic Hollywood Cemetery in Richmond, Virginia. This old city cemetery contains a number of historic roses, including the famous Musk Rose found on the Crenshaw grave site.
