The Plains Coreopsis is a fast-growing annual native to North America from Canada to Northwest Mexico and especially common in the Great Plains and southern states. By the mid-19th century the Plains Coreopsis was touted for its showy yellow flower heads with striking, deep red to dark maroon centers. This species is attractive to pollinators and considered highly deer resistant.Broadcast sow Plains Coreopsis seeds outdoors after the last spring frost in a prepared yet firm seedbed. Approximately 350 seeds per packet.
