Introduced from Taiwan in the 1880's, Formosa Lily is a spectacular self-seeding, perennial lily that bears large, extremely fragrant, funnel-shaped white flowers, suffused wine-purple on the outer side of the petals, in mid to late summer. The flowering stems of this easy-to-grow lily rise high above a basal mound of dark green, strap-like foliage, and the ornamental seedpods are attractive in dried flower arrangements. Sow seeds indoors 8-12 weeks before last frost date at 70 degrees F. Transplant to 3" pots once they have several true leaves, then harden off and transplant outdoors after last frost. Approximately 160 seeds per packet.
